As the company has grown, we have become increasingly aware of our position of influence in the home-use beauty device sector. With this comes responsibility to further understand our customers' needs focusing on both product safety and efficacy. We are delighted to introduce our hugely experienced advisory board led by David Hughes to help provide invaluable insight and expert advice in this niche area of beauty.

DAVID HUGHES

David has 30 years of experience in the Medical, Dental and Beauty Technology sectors within a variety of organisations from medium size US companies to Philips Electronics and L’Oréal. David was responsible for launching and developing the Sonicare brand in EME. After having started his career in the dental industry, he soon began to lead key advisory boards for professionals in London before launching the Sonicare brand throughout APAC from Hong Kong and strengthening the Avent Mother & Childcare brand by heading up the Global Professional Marketing Team in the UK. Following this, he played an essential role in boosting international sales and distribution for L'Oreal brand Clarisonic. In 2013, David co-founded Techno Beauty Brands, an International Sales & Marketing agency to aid brands to make considered global expansions. With a focus on the prestige Health & Beauty marketplace, the agency is at the forefront of building distribution for At-Home Health and Beauty device brands such as PMD, NuFACE, Beauty BioScience and T3 Haircare.

CHRISTINE C.DIERICKX

Christine C. Dierickx finished her dermatology residency in Belgium. Subsequently, she completed a fellowship in phlebology in the Netherlands, a clinical laser fellowship with Dr. R. Fitzpatrick in San Diego, CA and a Mohs fellowship with Dr. F. Mohs in Madison, Wi. She returned to Europe in 2000 where she is in private practice in Luxembourg. In 2006, Dr. Dierickx was vice-president of the “American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, Inc” and afterwards a board member of the International Committee. 

In 2013 she was the recipient of the Vasant Orwal Oration van de British Medical Laser Society. In April 2016 she was granted the Leon Goldman memoriam award. This award recognizes a practicing physician whose career demonstrates excellence in clinical research, patient care, or education, related to medical lasers. Dr. Dierickx remains actively involved in research on various energy-based devices and its applications. She has published and lectured nationally and internationally in the field of laser surgery, energy based devices and photodynamic therapy.

MARIE-CLOTHILDE BRULÉ

Marie-Clothilde Brulé has more than 25 years’ experience in growing businesses specializing in the beauty and luxury industries beyond their borders in omni-channel environments. 

In her career, Marie-Clothilde has expanded the businesses of such concerns as the Wella, LVMH, Catterton groups, developing and coordinating their moves into markets from Europe to Asia. With precise knowledge of brand imaging, local customs and a vast network of distributors at her disposal, Marie-Clothilde has also opened worldwide marketing and sales opportunities in the domestic, travel retail and airline segments. Marie-Clothilde has extended her brand development capabilities in the home device segment - a logical step in the beauty arena. 

Recently, she was instrumental in the world-wide development of Iluminage Beauty, with a focus on Greater China, SEA development, local, cross-border, on-line channels. Marie-Clothilde has her own consulting company offering full-fledged export services management to client brands.



RON PETERSEN

Ron Petersen is a native New Yorker who has worked from his UK base for more than 40 years. He held increasingly responsible positions within Armstrong World Industries until 1992, when became CEO of a British-based, NASDAQ-listed engineering company. The successful sale of that business led to the role of CEO in two companies listed on the main board of the LSE and the chairmanship of an AIM-listed company.

In 2005, Ron was a founder of Longbow Capital, a VC partnership whose first investment was in CyDen Ltd. (now iPulse Ltd.), one of the pioneers of home-use, light-based devices (in CyDen’s case, hair removal). Ron was CEO of CyDen for five years: it now has sales at retail of ca. $100 million. Ron was then a founder and CEO of the Boots Centre for Innovation; latterly, Longbow backed Ambicare Health, developers of a unique home use device for acne treatment; Ron is Investor Director at Ambicare.
